The Carlton style is a full leather Chelsea boot construction with a center seam on a low heel. All boots are handmade in limited quantities and the Carlton style is available in black suede and black calf leather. The soles are blake stitched and the uppers are lined in soft calf leather. Both are produced in dark green that is the hallmark of DP James boots.
Carlton Square is in London's forever changing East End. Inhabited by wealthy merchants and mariners in the 18th Century, the area became synonymous with European immigration in the 19th Century. Heavily damaged during the Second World War, it is now a conservation area and home to listed mid-Victorian Terraces.
